Last month (7th – 8th September) The Waterfront hosted a successful Wellness Weekend; offering visitors the inspiration to kick-start a sustainable healthy family lifestyle.
A pop up tipi took centre stage, welcoming yoga enthusiasts and novices who took part in a variety of practical workshops teaching best yoga practices and techniques.
Onsite beauty and hair businesses, Inner Beauty and CoCo Hair Salon set up shop in the main Wellbeing Marquee offering one to one consultation, with Inner Beauty selling out of its popular 15 minute spa treatments.
The event was also well supported by external exhibitors, including Bannatyne Eastbourne Health Club, local therapist business, Complete Health and Eastbourne Council who promoted its ‘One You, East Sussex’ healthy lifestyle campaign, providing free health checks and reporting a fantastic uptake.
A cosmic children’s disco entertained families on both days, creating an energetic atmosphere for those sitting outside the various Waterfront restaurants.
Coming up next – Rock Up Weekend, half term weekend, 26 – 27 October and Sovereign Shines on the evening of Friday 13th December, featuring three local school choirs, live reindeer and a variety of festive market stalls.
