Whet your whistle at The Waterfront before you embark on this journey through the centuries!
Enjoy a serene stroll along the Pevensey Bay Beaches, as you make your way past four Martello Towers built back in the 19th Century in response to the fear of a French invasion led by Napoleon. Walking eastwards along the beach from The Waterfront will bring you to Pevensey Bay where the terrain changes from shingle to footpaths through the village and inland towards Pevensey where you will find the castle.
Once in Pevensey you can enjoy the ‘Heritage Trail’ which takes in the historic buildings around the village.
